Welcome to the Bright Toy Library!
We are open weekly on Saturday mornings from 9:30-10:30 am at Alpine View Children's Centre (enter via gate on Deacon Avenue).
Membership Fees:
1) Annual membership (volunteer duties) - $30.00
2) Annual membership (non-volunteer) - $80.00
3) Annual membership (grandparent) - $30.00
4) Annual membership (concession) - $30.00
How the Toy Library works:
After paying an annual membership fee, you will have access to borrow up to 6 toys per fortnight.
Simply visit the Toy Library during borrowing sessions to select your toys. All borrowed toys are due back to the Toy Library after a 2-week period. You can re-borrow toys, provided that no one else has requested to borrow that item.
Volunteer Duties:
We are a not-for-profit service that is run by volunteers. We ask that members volunteer to help keep the Toy Library operational.
Members who choose the discounted membership option are required to complete 4 volunteer sessions per year.
Volunteer sessions are 1.5 hours (9:15 am-10:45 am) and may include duties such as cleaning and packing away toys, sorting toys into categories, setting up the toy display, checking toys in and out, and checking toys for missing pieces. Please feel welcome to bring your little ones along to your volunteer session, but please be mindful to supervise.
